WARNERS HOTEL, CRICKET ST THOMAS, CHARD, SOMERSET

A 4 day mini break to Warners Hotel at Cricket St Thomas in Chard, Somerset. The accommodation is in standard rooms and will be on a half board basis. There are other types of rooms available which would have supplements to be added on. The theme of this weekend is the ultimate '70s' music celebration.
Travel is by coach from St Albans to Chard with optional excursions whilst we are there to possibly, Sidmouth, Lyme Regis or a National Trust property within the area. These are yet to be decided.
COST: Hotel £232.00 per person (No Single supplement)+ £68.00 coach fare (based on minimum of 36 members). The coach fare could be reduced depending on numbers. The total cost £300.00 per person. This price does not include any gratuities for driver or any entrance fees.

TRANSYLVANIA
CANCELLED. Rescheduled to 14th May 2021
A 9 day visit to TRANSYLVANIA to see the painted monasteries of Sucevita, Humor, Moldovita and Voronet and also cross over the Carparthian Mountains into Transylvania province. Here we will visit Dracula’s Castle, the UNECO listed medieval citadel of Sighisoara and the fortified Saxon church of Viscri. There would also be a visit to Sinaia to see Pele’s Castle a masterpiece of German new Renaissance architecture, considered by many as the most stunning castles in Europe.
Our hotel accommodation would be 3 nights in BestWestern Bocovina, 3 nights in Hotel Coroana, 1 night in Hotel Roman and 1 night in New Montana hotel. These one night hotels are only for stopovers to the other destinations. All of the accommodation is full board except where we have a day’s travelling between locations.
The flights are from Heathrow to Bucharest return with British Airways.

JORDAN, PETRA and the DEAD SEA 2021
Date and Cost: tba
Proposed 12 Day holiday to Jordan, Petra and the Dead Sea. It is hoped to visit Jerusalem, Wadi Rum, Petra, The Dead Sea, Tiberias and Tel Aviv. There would probably be excursions arranged to visit Qumran, Masada & the border crossing, Jarash, Sea of Galilee, Rosh Hanikra, Akko, Haiffa and Jaffa. Also there would be a sightseeing tour of The White City of Tel Aviv.
The accommodation would be on a half board basis.

A Passage Through MEXICO
Date: 6th March 2021
A 13/15 day trip to Mexico visiting Mexico City, San Cristobal, Palenque, Merida and Cancun. We will be delving into the historical and cultural heart for Mexico City. After this we journey south to San Cristobal de Ls Casa, where the traditions draws influence from the Mayawho once commanded the region. The journey then takes us further into the heartland to see the intricate stuccos at the jungle ruins of Palenque. We will see the magnificent El Castill pyramid at Chichen Itza, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. At the end of the holiday there would be one night in Cancun before departing for the UK. However there is an optional extension to this trip by extending the trip to the Riviera Maya Beach area for 3 nights.
